Abstract
The article analyses different approaches to definition of such concepts as factor and cause, gives different points of view on the relationship of these determinants of migration, considers the methodological differences in the interpretation of these concepts in natural and social sciences, the significant differences between the conditions-factors and structural factors, the dual nature of the latter, as well as the mechanisms of relationships between the conditions-factor — phenomenon and the cause-factor — behavior.
