Abstract
Objective of the study is to examine the dynamics of the development of the spiritual crisis and its social consequences.
The methodological basis of the research of the study is the ideas of the concept of O. Spengler, H. Ortega y Gasset, E. Fromm, G. Marcuse; provisions of the theory of consumer society and spiritual alienation; riskological approach.
Results of the study. The global situation indicates the presence of a deep spiritual crisis that has gripped modern society, which is manifested in the spread of the ideology and practice of consumerism, the emergence of a new gender mainstream, the devaluation of traditional values, and the immersion of a person in virtual reality. The result of this crisis was the formation of a “one-dimensional person”. The way out of this crisis is associated with a radical change in the ideological paradigm of modern society.
Research рerspectives. The problem of the spiritual crisis of modern society is of scientific and practical interest due to the need to understand the risks for the further development of humanity.
