Abstract
Objective of the study is conducting an analysis of the impact of social media content on the formation of beliefs of young people, developing counteraction strategies in collaboration with social platforms and government agencies.
The methodological basis of the research were sociological methods of analysis. The works of S. O. Elishev and I. M. Dzyaloshinsky are methodologically significant.
Results of the study. As a result of the study, it was revealed that social networks expose Russian youth to constant manipulation with the help of various video and audio materials, text messages, displaying only selective content based on their interests. This allows you to control the information that young people see and thus form their opinion. In addition, social networks are a place for communication and information exchange, they are also often used to organize group events and mass communications, thereby forming a unified public opinion on various issues.
Research рerspectives. To counteract the negative social impact on the Internet, it is important to pay attention to the education of young users and the development of their media literacy. And also, to develop technologies of “positive” manipulation for the delivery of spiritual and moral content.
