Abstract

Objective of the study is to study the philosophical aspects of understanding of death as an encounter with the “Other”. Research methodology. consists in the analysis of literature and articles by authors on the topic of philosophical understanding of death. Results of the study show that death is an integral part of our life, which is an encounter with inevitability and finiteness. It is shrouded in mystery and raises many questions that touch on the very essence of being. Viewing death as an encounter with the “Other” opens us up to deep self-knowledge and awareness of our vulnerability as human beings. This allows us to think about the values we attach to our lives, what goals we set for ourselves and how we relate to the concept of death. Philosophical consideration of this aspect of life helps to enrich our understanding of the meaning of life and guide us to a deeper awareness of ourselves and the world around us.  Philosophical understanding of death as an encounter with the “Other” allows us to more deeply understand its meaning and connect our existence with the awareness of this phenomenon. Research рerspectives. Understanding of death and attempt to identify the role of the “Other” in the research of death through the prism of the cultural aspect.
