Abstract

Objective of the study is to conduct sociological verification of the state and peculiarities of state- civic integration of young people in the Rostov region in the context of new territoriality and the ongoing special military operation. Methodological basis of the study is a theoretical and conceptual approach, according to which the key factor in the social integration of young people is their state and civil identity, formed based on the established institutional matrix of common goals, interests and values and performing a stabilizing function in terms of social turbulence. The sociological study is based on the analysis of data obtained through a mass representative questionnaire survey using a quota sample (gender, age, type of settlement). The study was conducted in May-July 2024, the survey involved young people of the Rostov region aged 18 to 35 years (N = 593). Results of the study. Based on the results of the sociological study, a comprehensive assessment of the state and features of the manifestation of state-civil integration of young people in the conditions of new territoriality and ongoing special military operation is presented. A methodological approach and a system of indicators to systematisation, evaluation and generalisation of empirical data based on the concept of formation of all-Russian civil identity in terms of transforming institutional, socioeconomic and socio-cultural conditions of life of the regional society are proposed. The analysis of the materials confirmed the hypothesis that the basis of state-civil integration of young people is the commonality of life strategies and the main patterns of mass consciousness, focused on achieving the integrity and sustainability of the established social structure and way of life, and also revealed the social practices of young people, forming in the new conditions a high level of their all-Russian civil identity. Prospects of the study relate to the expansion of the subject field of studying the problems of state-civil integration of youth, the search for fundamental bases of its consolidation. The results of the research open up new possibilities for improving the activities of social institutions and mechanisms of regional management; they can also be used in the development of the strategies and programs of the youth policy.
