Abstract
Objective of the study is to analyze the specifics and state of the economic culture of social entrepreneurship in Russia.
Methodological basis of the study includes the neo-institutional approach and the results of sociological surveys and interviews conducted by Russian and foreign scientists.
Results of the study. We identify the most significant problems associated with the activities of social entrepreneurs in our country: social entrepreneurs have not created a consolidated group united by common interests and goals; social entrepreneurship has not formed a value basis for its activities; individualistic orientations are strengthening in social entrepreneurship, which results in an increasing contradiction between the social orientation of the activity and the desire for personal success of its subjects. These trends indicate that today the development of social entrepreneurship in Russia is at an early stage.
Prospects of the study. The problem of developing social entrepreneurship is of scientific and practical interest due to the need to attract business and civil initiative to solve the accumulated social problems in the country.
