Abstract

Objective of the study. To show modern software solutions that allow for the effective collection, processing, analysis and visualization of data, including results of sociological research to a wide range of Russian sociologists of different levels. To convince modern Russian sociologists to use new programs for carrying out various tasks from data collection to preparing presentations. Methodological basis of the study is represented by a set of technological and methodological techniques for conducting the study, implemented in specific procedures. Research tools are understood as a list of software products, each of which helps Russian sociologist to carry out a certain work, analyze it and provide results effectively. The list of basic tools contains 165 software products, including research software and applied specialized programs. The list includes both foreign and domestic developments. Some products are well-known and widely used, others, and these are the majority, are little known, although highly effective and are openly available. Results of the study. A segmented list of tools presented in a convenient tabular form for active use by Russian sociologists in their daily work is the result of the study. Prospects of the study. This article will be extremely useful for both beginning Russian sociologists and young scientists trying to optimize their work, speed up the processes of data collection and analysis, and presentation of the results of their work effectively.
