Abstract

Objective of the study is to examine the dependence of the dominant universals in the space of the conceptual world picture and the specifics of its content among the population of Central Asia. Methodological basis of the study. The consideration of the influence of mentality on the content of the universals of the conceptual world picture among the population of Central Asia on the example of Uzbekistan is based on the works of scientists who focus on the study of values in the mental structure as regulators of behavior in a society. The research was conducted in an integrative paradigm using an analytical approach from a comparative neo-institutional perspective. Results of the study. Traditionalist societies are more closed due to the fact that they program algorithms for people's lives and behavior completely to obey their elders and public opinion through inculcated stereotypes. The differences between a traditionalist society and a postmodern society are not significant due to the fact that only the shells of words change over time, but the universals of conceptual worldviews remain unchanged. The content, changing to fit the parameters of the changed world, perform all the same functions – regulators of social behavior or mechanisms for manipulating the consciousness of individuals/groups/masses. Traditional values, moral norms, legal laws, as well as the universals of the conceptual world – “justice”, “patriotism”, “freedom” – appear in this hypostasis from a correct/scientific perspective.  Based on the analysis of the results of the identified universals of the conceptual world picture, we make the following conclusion: as a result of penetration into the traditional social norms of postmodern society regulators (mortgages, loans, digitization of personality), the world not only does not develop, but “gets bogged down” more and more at the slaveholding level. Only the form of slavery changes from explicit, conscious, to unconscious. So slavery in postmodern society becomes not only total, but also lifelong, since a slave who thinks of himself as free, staying in illusory freedom, does not think about freedom or rebellion in the name of Freedom, since his consciousness is in a perverted state, being trapped in this verbal reality. Prospects of the study are related to the subsequent study of the specifics of the universals of conceptual worldviews among representatives of different countries in order to increase the effectiveness of intercultural interaction in a rapidly changing world.
