Abstract
Objective of the study is to identify and substantiate the methodological foundations of a sociological study of the mechanisms of social regulation in the formation of civic-patriotic identity among Russian youth in the new socio-territorial context.
Methodological basis of the study is represented by the conceptual tenets of the socio-constructivist approach to the study of identity, the theory of state-civic identity, as well as theoretical approaches and principles in the field of sociological studies of patriotism, citizenship, civic patriotism, and the social mechanisms and processes of social regulation.
Results of the study. Patriotism, proclaimed as the national idea upon which all-Russian identity is constructed, is also becoming part of the identification concept of "state-patriotic identity," actively used in the policy and practice of civic and patriotic education of the younger generation of Russians. This process requires regulation by society and the state, which determines the importance of a sociological study of the mechanisms of social regulation in the formation of civic-patriotic identity among Russian youth. The proposed methodological framework for this study identifies institutional, sociocultural, and socio-organizational mechanisms regulating the formation of civic-patriotic identity among young people. Civic-patriotic identity is understood as an individual's identification with a particular state, its people, culture, language, and history, based on certain feelings, emotions, values, and attitudes, typically in the categories of love, pride, duty, and a willingness to act for the good of their people and state in specific socio-historical conditions. The primary indicator of the sociological dimension of civic-patriotic identity among young people, as constructed under the influence of institutional, sociocultural, and socio-organizational mechanisms, is the balance between the patriotic and the civic in this identification construct. Second-level indicators are the structural components of civic-patriotic identity: cognitive, value-based, and behavioral.
Prospects of the study. The potential of the research lies in the empirical implementation of the conceptual principles of the proposed methodological framework in the context of constructing youth identity as a "citizen-patriot," taking into account contemporary realities and the need to address national challenges.
