Abstract
Objective of the study. The relevance of this study is due to the increasing need for the formation of stable mechanisms of protection among young people from destructive cultural influences, which in turn requires understanding the role of the teacher as a key actor in ensuring the cultural security of the regional educational space. The purpose of the work is to identify and substantiate the specific qualities and competencies of the teacher's personality necessary for the effective performance of this task, as well as to develop practical recommendations for their development.
Methodological basis of the study. The research is based on an interdisciplinary approach combining the principles of pedagogy, sociology, cultural studies and psychology. The following methods were used: the method of theoretical analysis, comparative analysis, modeling method.
The results of the study. The results of the study showed that the personality of a teacher plays a crucial role in shaping the cultural safety of young people. It is revealed that the key qualities are: a high level of cultural competence, the ability to think critically, tolerance, empathy, as well as developed communication skills. The teacher should act as a mentor who is able not only to transmit knowledge, but also to form value orientations, stimulate the development of self-awareness and independence of students in the context of information diversity.
Prospects of the study. Further development of this area involves an in-depth study of the influence of various socio-cultural factors on the perception of the concept of cultural security by young people.
