Abstract
In the article the economic identity in the region is considered as a form of self-determination and self-positioning of the regional society. It reflects the size, nature and economic specifics and available economic resources.Economic and political actors influence public perception about the specifics of the economic development of the region with the purpose of formation of desired models of economic behavior. Thus investigation of the economic identity from the standpoint of its construction by regional entities is reasonable.
