Abstract
In a context of consequences of reforms of 90th years of XX century the state national politics in the Russian Federation is examined. The reasons of an aggravation of interethnic relations on Northern Caucasus and an inconsistent national policy in Russia are shown. The question on necessity of broad discussion on problems of development of the new concept of a national policy and the improvement of federal relations is put.
