Abstract
The article deals with the problem of continuing education. On the basis of international documents, the author analyzes the specificity of distance education. The features of the concept of lifelong learning in the context of globalization and the search for identity. It is concluded that the implementation of continuing education in the interests of the overwhelming majority of social groups and society as a whole, but its application must be based on the study of the interests and expectations of key economic and social groups.
