Abstract
The article deals with the cognitive analysis of such a new disciplinary area as elitology. The article reveals its main cognitive levels: philosophical and paradigmatic, doctrinal, applied. It discusses a new aspect for post neoclassical methodology - experiential one. The article illustrates the main findings of elitological studies, which were achieved within Rostov scientific School of elitology as a result of theoretical and empirical studies (including panel measurements) during the last twenty years.
