Abstract

Depending on the geographical and so­cial characteristics of the studied regions, exotic in the Third World, «folk» and the modern West, the interest in moderniza­tion, the modern world and the era of modernity led to the emergence of new approaches and specific issues. The arti­cle analyzes the purpose of Ethnology. Traced the circumstances in which this discipline to respond to various social, political, cultural and scientific contexts.
