Abstract
This article bases on the study conducted in November 2013 by the North Ossetian Research Center ISPR RAS and the department of sociology and social processes of the North Ossetian State University named after K. L. Hetagurov. The study is founded on the expert survey in the republics of the North Caucasus Federal District of the Russian Federation on the theme: «Historical, political, economic and social causes of ethnic tension and extremism in the republics of the North Caucasus Federal District of the Russian Federation»
