Abstract
The article deals with cultural identity as a factor and the potential for strengthening the integrity of the Russian state. An analysis of a modern socio-cultural situation in Russia is provided: the foundations of the phenomenon of modern culture, its role in society are revealed: the main lines of research of contemporary culture as a factor in Russia's territorial integrity are discussed.
