Abstract
Based on the analysis of Western definitions of welfare state, the authors conclude that social work is an important element in the implementation of her idea, as the phenomenon of social work as a professional activity is a social justice and resuscitation of personal solvency, when he is in a difficult situation. Thus, social work is aimed to prevent social injustice, that undermines foundations of the existence of a welfare state.
