Abstract
In the article, based on the interdisciplinary methodology, integrating the settings of sociological and economic discourse, an attempt to study the specificity of interaction of subjects of social and labor relations and higher education system is made in the context of institutionalism and neo-institutionalism. The author proceeds from the idea that the system of modern higher education is integrated into the subjective space of social and labor relations. The conclusion is that there is the need for new approaches to the higher education management, and to the development of scientific justification of the theories and principles of social and labor relations management. An institutional and level concept of social and labor relations regulation is offered.
