Radicalism and utopia as the strategies of Russian education reforms

Abstract

Education strategies realized in modernRussiaare analyzed in terms of their validity and adequacy to the present day realities. It is noted that a number of existing education strategies in the country are distinctly utopian and radical in their nature, which leads to their failure and turns them into a source of social risk. We argue that there is a need for systematic correction of policies and state strategies in the field of education in order to meet contemporary challenges and and development needs of Russian society.
