Abstract

The article shows the features of the creative views F.M. Dostoevsky and Nietzsche on the problem of man, revealed similarities and differences in the teaching philosophy of the individual thinkers, the distinctive features of questioning the moral perfection of the individual. The authors investigated the refusal of thinkers from the traditional view of man and the search for new principles for the study of human nature, man's place in the world and the meaning of life. The article gives a comparative description of Dostoevsky and Nietzsche's relationship to Christianity and its role in the European culture and the way of formation of a new philosophical model of man. If Dostoevsky question of God is linked with the question of man, then Nietzsche superman process of development and establishment implies "overcoming" of man. The authors emphasize the inconsistency of these searches and justify the ambiguity of interpretations of these great creative thinkers.
