Occasional Employment in the Context of Precarization of Labour in the European Union

Abstract

In the article based on the materials of the European statistical surveys and expert assessments quantitative scale, structural features and reasons for temporary employment in Western Europe are characterized. It is proved that permanent employment in occasional employment, which characterizes currently, about 25 million Europeans precarizes social and labor relations (infringes social and labor rights, belittles social standing of the population, distorts professional identity).
