Institutionalization of civic education and construction of civic identity in the high school

Abstract

In the article the results of institutionalization of civic education and civil identity construction in Russian educational system on the example of Rostov-on-Don are analyzed. Based on the results of sociological research, the authors come to the conclusion, that civil identity construction in domestic educational environment differs from European experience both by the value system and by the form. Among the main causes of this difference the research found out the domination of administrative values in the sphere of organization culture of Rostov-on-Don schools and subjective unavailability of teachers and administration to such type of work.
