Abstract
In this article the author considers relevant for modern sociology topic of crisis of modern higher education. The factors of determination and the main trends of the crisis of higher education in modern Russia and the world are considered. The author relates the crisis of higher education with the contradictions between social modernization of modern society effects and the traditions of classical education.
