Abstract
The article is addressed to the problem of definition and study of the myth of power and its impact on public consciousness in the process of political communication. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that modern information space and space of political communication (both Russian and global) is filled with political myths. The paper deals with the concept of "political myth", "political mythologema" and "myth of power", to which the author pays special attention as it is a component part of political mythologema, and a communicative process in the political sphere and the instrument of political PR, requiring research evaluation.
