Abstract
The article deals with topical for modern Russia problem of modernization of national higher education system, with the focus on the specifics of international cooperation of Russian universities. According to the author’s opinion, in the context of economic and of culture globalization the internationalization of education is one of the most important tasks for Russian state. The article discusses the features of the internationalization of education in China, analyzes the main trends and factors in bilateral relations between Russia and China in the field of education. Special attention is drawn to the possible effectiveness of Chinese model of internationalization of higher education in modern Russia.
