Abstract
The role of family as forming factor in the process of the native language intergenerational translation mainly in a polyethnic regions is discussed in the article. The institution of the family is presented as a basement of the ethnocultural identity reproduction. The family predetermines the formation of a special personality characterized by the specific conditions of particular group existence. On the example of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic the article shows the family as an institution for preserving the ethnic culture values through the translation of the native language.
