Abstract
In the article social and philosophical analysis of the essence of political and legal institutions in the era of the New Time and Postmodern has been carried out. In the course of the implementation, cardinal changes in their functional purpose and perception are revealed. The author demonstrates that if in classical philosophy the functioning of political and legal institutions was based on coercion and the use of direct violence, then in the realities of Postmodern power authority is realized through manipulation and simulacra. The conclusion of the article concludes that, despite the processes that led to the anti-value perception of these institutions, the practice of completely abandoning political and legal institutions looks unpromising.
