Abstract
The article is aimed at the conceptual comprehension of social project management in the system of regional management as a factor that increases the opportunities for innovative regional development. The article justifies the idea that social project management becomes an effective method of management activity if optimal internal (organizational, regulatory, personnel) and external (civil activity, intellectual capital, level of innovation economy development) are created. It is concluded that the prospects for social design in the regional management system are related to the optimization of management activity and the development and implementation of social projects as the inclusion of regional society in regional innovation management.
