Abstract

The aim of the article is to conduct the interdisciplinary analysis of the institutional practices of the interreligious interaction in the South of Russia. Proceeding from the multiethnicity and polyconfessionality of the South of Russia, the research focuses on the application of the procedures of social constructivism and neoinstitutionalism in the framework of defining the institutional practices as the reproduction of norms and rules of interaction between religious communities as an algorithm for interreligious interaction. It was revealed that, while preserving the balance of the two main denominations (Islam and Orthodoxy), the institutional practices are oriented towards the inclusion of religious structures in dialogue, primarily with power institutions and in the still weak interaction with public associations.
