Abstract

The article analyzes the transformation trends of the media landscape in modern Russia. The necessity of rethinking the processes occurring in the information and communication space, providing a new understanding of the relationship between actors, sources and channels of communication is shown. It is shown that tectonic shifts occur in the nature of content consumption. Users continuously form discourse, reframe content, express opinions, assessments and recommendations. The paper reveals the tendency of information space to self-organaise around so called “knowledge managers” perceived as authoritative, representatives of the community that generate and / or verify the accuracy and quality of the content. The boundaries between the journalist and the audience are blurred, only multilateral information interaction remains, where everyone contributes to the general discourse. Users also create such experts for themselves, whose opinions will be reference point for them when interacting with huge flows of information, which will allow them to systematize and reduce the effect of information noise.
