Abstract
The article analyzes the specificity of the understanding of war and military security in social and philosophical context. It is noted that the understanding of military security in the philosophical discourse was originally included in the analysis of the concept of "war" as a destructive social phenomenon, carrying the threat of destruction and extermination. The problem of war is studied in the historical and philosophical context of the twentieth century, the problem of war and military security is examined in modern social and philosophical discourse. The author concludes that the specificity of the philosophical understanding of the problem of military security in the modern world is connected with the inclusion of the spiritual factor in the security system, which is often more capable of creating conditions for the safe existence of countries and peoples. This approach seems to be quite conceptual for the study of military security in new information reality.
