Abstract
In the article were reconstructed the main milestones of Yu.A. Zhdanov’s theory of culture. In the framework of understanding the problems of society and culture by Yu.A. Zhdanov, in this article several plot lines are highlighted: Yu.A. Zhdanov’s culture theory, which is based on his joint work with V.E. Davidovich activity concept of culture; questions of cultural history and, first of all, cultural history of the Caucasus nation, culturological Caucasian studies; the idea of Yu.A. Zhdanov’s cultural man. It is concluded that in national philosophy and culturology Yu.A. Zhdanov’s concept of culture hasn’t lost its value and is one of the authoritative modern culturological theories.
