Abstract

The article is devoted to the results of a critical analysis of sociological literature, which examines various aspects of the professional identity of Russian teachers. It is primarily about the factors of formation of professional identity of teachers, values in the structure of professional identity, the impact of reforms in the field of education and the transformation of labor relations on the formation of professional identity of teachers. A critical analysis of sociological literature has led to the conclusion that a number of issues related to the study of professional identity of teachers has not yet been the subject of sociological research. Among these issues are the professional values, motives and attitudes of Russian teachers in the era of digital society, the professional identity of a special cohort of professional community of school teachers – young teachers, the change of professional identity of teachers depending on the professional experience. In addition, it was found that in research practices there is no sociological tools to study these issues.
