Abstract

In the article the peculiarities of youth volunteering institutialization in modern Russia are analyzed. Volunteerism and volunteering are revealed to be forming currently as a social institution. The level of  involvement of the Russian youth into volunteering is determined to be rather lower than of the same foreign ones. The author shows that currently nearly half of the Russian youth can be considered as real and potential volunteers, meanwhile the other half lacks motivation to volunteering. In spite of these facts, theoretically they may be involved into volunteering in case of elimination of the obstacles and barriers to entering different volunteering societies.
