Abstract

The article analyzes the changes in the scientific approaches to the study of media communications brought by the digital revolution. With the advent of digital technology and digitalization of the sphere of epistemology in the scientific community is increasingly spreading judgments about the inevitable change of methods and consequences of paradigm about the need for new theories and concepts. Author believes that traditional methods of knowledge prserve their value in the conditions of digitalization of all aspects of society, but at the same time, transformation of conceptual methodological constructs’ analyzes of new problems arising in the process of transition to digital media communication formats is possible and needed.
