Abstract

The article provides an overview of the field of visual sociology. It examines the areas where visual sociology can provide a perspective for the study of social reality and serves as an imaginative tool for working with various subjects of research. It sets out specific methods of working with visual data, the material focuses on several of the many areas where visual sociological methods can be applied, such as the study of cities, social events and new media.
