Abstract
The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that in Russian religious and modern philosophy the problem of the incompleteness of the scientific worldview is actively discussed, and therefore the topic of the synthesis of religious faith and scientific knowledge is discussed. But at the same time, the question of the conditions for the possibility of such a synthesis is not only not discussed, but not even raised, which makes it difficult to solve the problem of the integrity of the scientific worldview.
The purpose of the article is to show why, in order to solve the question of the possibility of synthesizing faith and knowledge, it is necessary to justify the gnoseological function of faith, that is, to find out why faith is knowledge, what is the specificity of this knowledge, and also to explain the mechanism and structure of combining faith with scientific knowledge, which provides the integrity of the scientific worldview.
Keywords:
