Abstract
The article analyzes the features of socialization and the main strategies of behavior of modern Russian youth in the field of sports, determines the nature of motivation, values and orientations of young people engaged in sports. As indicated in the work, sports activity acts as a way of self-affirmation of a person: various sports contribute to the formation of the necessary strong-willed qualities, psychological endurance, the ability to mobilize in extreme conditions. Systematic sports activities that involve regular training, planning sports loads and competitions for long periods of time, contribute to the formation of skills of hard work aimed at achieving success in other areas of human activity that are not related to sports.
The authors note that various types of sports contribute to the formation of certain value orientations of the individual, affect the formation of a General social orientation of the individual. In the process of joining sports activities, the initial motivation of a person intending to start playing sports or join a particular section is particularly important: this initial motivation determines other motivations throughout the subsequent sports career, having a certain impact on the behavior of these persons in their daily life, not related to sports. It is concluded that in the framework of promoting the values of sports among young people, involving young people in sports activities, the focus should be primarily on the humanistic component of modern sports. In this situation, the philosophy of Olympism becomes relevant, according to which the main thing in sports is not to win over the opponent, but to overcome oneself, one's own weaknesses and shortcomings.
Fundamentals:
Modern sport as a unique social institution for the development, dissemination and development of the culture of human motor activity performs, along with competitive, also heuristic, recreational, aesthetic, economic, entertainment and other functions, affecting various spheres of public life.
Sports socialization or socialization through sport allows the subject involved in this sphere of activity to adapt to the performance of various social roles, and the experience of sports activities facilitates the process of adaptation of the individual to perform certain roles outside of sports, the formation of broad value orientations to reality.
In the process of becoming involved in sports activities, the motivation of persons engaged in sports is important, since it determines other motivations throughout the subsequent sports career, having a certain impact on the behavior of these persons in their daily life, not related to sports.
In the framework of promoting the values of sports among young people, involving young people in sports activities, the focus should be primarily on the humanistic component of modern sports, spiritual and physical improvement, and the formation of skills through sports that can be used in other areas of life.
