Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the virtual subjectivity of young people. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study was the thesaurus approach and the concept of everyday practices, which allowed us to fix the individualistic orientation of value-normative constructs (thesauri) and behavioral strategies of modern youth. Virtual space, as a new type of reality, is analyzed from the point of view of new conditions, channels, and mechanisms of self-presentation that are being formed in it, actualizing the problem of young people staying in it. The results of the sociological study, using survey methods and content analysis, revealed the features of virtual individualism characteristic of young people. Network self-presentations of young users are considered through the prism of the phenomenon of Self-orientation, which indicates the presence of centrifugal tendencies as a manifestation of network (virtual) individualism.
