Abstract

Objective of the study is to determine the nature, methods and results of the Internet and social networks’ influence on all spheres of public life of modern society. The methodological basis of the research is based on the socio-cultural analysis of the transformations of the information space due to the development of the Internet and social networks, due to which there are significant qualitative transformations of the social fabric of society, spiritual-value, cultural and practically all other dimensions of human life. Research results. The result of the impact of the Internet and social networks on the public consciousness and the daily life of all segments of the population is the emergence of a new social world. In all respects, it is increasingly different from the historically established way of life of many generations, based on traditional, including national cultural values. Prospects of the study. The research topic is considered to be one of the most relevant areas of research in the social sciences and, especially, sociology, which is designed to record objective changes in the social appearance of modern society, the content characteristics of value consciousness, the peculiarities of culture and, in general, the dynamics of socio-cultural development of society.
