Abstract
Objective of the study is to identify trends in the transformation of the professional identity of young and experienced teachers in a large Russian city.
The methodological basis of the research. The basic methodological basis of the proposed research is the "soft concept" of identity, developed by R. Brubaker, F. Cooper.
Research results. It is determined that the most mobile structures of the professional identity of teachers working in municipal schools of a large Russian city are assessment of the status of the profession and professional strategies. Two trends in the transformation of teachers' professional identity are highlighted, namely: in the first case, the change of professional identity towards a positive professional identity, the result of which is a stable integration into the professional community; in the second variant – in the direction of a crisis of professional identity – the result of which is the departure of a specialist from a municipal school or a complete rejection of the profession.
Prospects of the study. The obtained data can be used in the further study of the professional identity of teachers in the context of the implementation of management practices aimed at effective long-term integration of teachers in the field of professional activity.
