Abstract

Objective of the study is to analyze the labor values of students in the multicultural region of the South of Russia. The methodological basis of the research includes the societal approach (I.N. Lapin, T.I. Zaslavskaya, L.V. Klimenko) the concept of individualist and collectivist societies (G. Hofstede). Research results. The expression of individualistic and achievable labor values in the majority of young people of various ethno-cultural segments is revealed. Such proximity of value orientations is one of the grounds for the social integration of the multicultural South of Russia. Against this background, a higher level of socio-administrative attitudes is recorded among the youth of the republics of the North Caucasus (Adygea, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria). Whereas among students of subregions with predominantly Russian population (Rostov Region and Stavropol Territory), market labor values are more common.   Prospects of the study. The continuation of the research involves further analysis of the factors of formation and socio-group characteristics of the value consciousness of the youth of the multicultural region.
