Abstract
Objective of the study is to analyze the role of historical memory in the context of ethnopolitical relations.
The methodology of the research is based on the use of a transdisciplinary socio-philosophical approach to the study of the phenomena of modern reality.
Research results. Based on an appeal to the specifics of the South of Russia, it is noted that in the South Russian region there is an obvious trend in the actualization of historical memory as a social resource. It is concluded that ethnopolitical relations in the South Russian region have a positive potential, provided they are adequately used in the political system of regional relations, as well as in the influence that may be accompanied by support for integration processes and the transfer of ethnocultural issues to the mode of sociocultural development.
Prospects of the study. This paper opens up prospects for further research of historical memory and ethnopolitical relations, in particular, its influence on the formation and development of the socio-cultural environment of the South of Russia.
