Abstract

Objective of the study is a philosophical analysis of the significance of the phenomenon of art as a component of culture in the formation of young people’s consciousness to ensure the protection of the consciousness of our young digital generation from reformatting through modern Western values.   Methodological basis of the research. The authors use a combination of the following research methods: the method of critical analysis, the method of discourse, the method of ascent from the abstract to the concrete, the systematic method. In the course of the study, the authors proceed from the definition of culture by V.E. Davidovich as a universal way of human activity, supplementing with other interpretations of culture, and transdisciplinary research, which makes it possible to use the achievements of philosophy, psychology, art history, religious studies, neurobiology for a deep consideration of the problem of the significance of the art phenomenon in forming the consciousness of the youth. This study is based on a value-normative, logical, dialectical and systemic approach.   Research results. The study is based on the concepts of art and religion as programs for the functioning of the human brain, the concept of the nature of baroque art inherent in the activity of the human brain and the structure of the entire cosmos, the concept of the fractal nature of beauty, which explains the mechanisms of influence of art and on the consciousness of the young digital generation. A formula is given to protect the consciousness of the young digital generation of Russia from the influence of the “software bookmarks” of the art of the West. Conclusions are drawn about the study of the phenomenon of art in the formation of the young people’s consciousness.
