Regional identity in the space of social and managerial activity

Abstract

Objective of the study is to study regional identity as an object of social and managerial activity. According to the authors, the formation of regional identity contributes to the consolidation of the population of the region to solve the problems existing in the subjects of the Russian Federation. The methodological basis for the study of the problems of regional identity as an object of social and managerial activity is based on the theory of social construction of reality (P. Berger and T. Lukman), as well as the interactionist concept of management (H. Tejfel). Research results. A socio-administrative model is proposed, based on the following principles: 1) development of a unique strategy for managing regional identity; 2) focus on the principles of decentralization of regional management; 3) organizing the management of regional identity by setting urgent tasks; 4) providing an opportunity to choose and prioritize in solving social problems related to regional identity facing regional communities.   Prospects of the study are connected with the subsequent study of regional identity and sociological understanding of identity strengthening factors.
