Abstract
Objective of the study is to identify the forms of environmental behavior of Russian youth as an expression of civic patriotism.
The methodological basis of the research is determined by the ecological behavior of Russian youth, based on the theoretical and methodological ideas of V. A. Zakharova.
Research results. The article analyzes the insufficiently developed aspect of the problem of the formation of civic patriotism among Russian youth in Russian sociology – its conceptually significant component: environmentally oriented behavior. The typical forms of youth environmental practices that contribute to overcoming barriers that prevent the paradigm shift of value orientation of young Russians from consumer to ecophile-creative are identified.
Prospects of the study are connected with the subsequent theoretical and sociological development of a comprehensive model for the formation of environmental behavior of young people, capable of giving a worthy response to the formidable challenges of the transforming social reality.
