Abstract
Objective of the study: conceptualization of ideas about hybrid identity. Research objectives: to consider the concept of “hybrid identity”; to identify the positive and negative sides of hybrid identity; to identify and consider the forms of hybrid identity that exist on a global scale and in Russian society.
Methodological basis of the study. Within the framework of this study, such methods as conceptualization and categorization were applied. Also of value for research are the methods used in the framework of cross-cultural sociology, psychology and cultural studies. These methods make it possible to identify the cultural or subcultural boundaries of existing communities, to identify and describe their structural components. The study of hybrid identity also uses the method of comparative analysis, which allows comparing different cultural and social contexts and identifying common trends in the formation of hybrid identity.
Research results. The author of the article addresses the study of hybrid identity from the point of view of mixing traditions, beliefs, cultural customs, languages, which is reflected in the social practices of the population. The reasons for hybridization are migration, globalization, intercultural communication and other processes that contribute to cultural exchange. Studies of hybrid identity show that modern people are often determined not only by their national, ethnic or religious affiliation, but also by many other factors, such as cultural, social, political, etc.
Prospects of the study of hybrid identity are associated with a number of social, cultural and economic factors.
Firstly, modern society faces challenges related to multiculturalism, migration, globalization and transnationalism. The study of hybrid identity can help to better understand the processes of adaptation and socialization in new cultural environments, as well as the preservation of cultural heritage.
Secondly, the study of hybrid identity can contribute to the development of intercultural competence and the fight against xenophobia and racism. This can be useful for creating a more tolerant and democratic society.
Thirdly, the study of hybrid identity can help the development of cultural tourism, which can contribute to the development of the national economy and the preservation of cultural diversity.
Fourth, the study of hybrid identity can lead to new scientific discoveries, such as the identification of new forms of social adaptation, the study of the influence of cultural factors on personality, as well as the development of strategies for intercultural communication.
Thus, the prospects for the study of hybrid identity are associated with various social, cultural and economic factors that can benefit society and culture.
