Abstract

Objective of the study is to study some contradictions between the manifestation of acts of mercy and the filling of the concept itself with a new value-semantic content in the conditions of modern Russian society. The methodological basis of the research is connected with the use of historical-philosophical, philosophical-cultural and systematic approaches. The empirical basis of this work is the results of our own sociological research conducted among students of the Belgorod State Agrarian University named after V. Ya. Gorin. Research results showed that charity is one of the main moral imperatives and forms the basic concept of modern culture, regulating the social interrelations of society. Prospects of the study are connected with the development of mechanisms for the creation and strengthening of the ideals of mercy in modern society.
