Abstract
Objective of the study is, firstly, to substantiate the object and subject of clinical sociology as a methodology for the study of risk society; secondly, to describe the most relevant domestic and Western areas of risk factors research on the “fault lines of civilizations”; thirdly, to create a risk society analysis tool based on clinical sociology, which it is only being developed in our country.
Methodological basis of the study. The study is theoretical. Since the subject of research is interdisciplinary, the methodology of its research includes sociological and ethno-psychological methods.
The result of the study was a theoretical substantiation of the need for the second – empirical stage.
The prospect of the study may be the justification and development of a new scientific direction in the study of risk society.
